People he owes a beer:
iwascloned: Spider's pretty much his new best buddy. They have a lot in common. He finds Spider's slightly-insane enthusiasm amusing. He doesn't think Spider's completely all there, but that's O.K. Some of Spider's repeated cracks about male genitalia had him wondering if the guy isn't a little bit gay. The future that Spider's from sounds both horrible and wonderful at the same time, and kind of fascinating. They have matter transformer-synthesizers called Makers, they've cured cancer but pollution is much worse, there's a corrupt politician named Callahan. He knows Spider is a journalist.
They made a bet over whether or not Spider could find out more about Callahan at Landel's.
And then they were supposed to go raid the Janitor's Closet and the Pharmacy, except S.T. got M-U, and Spider came and got him. With drugs, and a tool kit and spray bottles and was fairly nice about S.T. puking pumpkin pie on him.
I.e. S.T. owes him big-time and he knows it.
pleading_ngri: Criminal defense attorney from 2019 LA. Quintessential nice guy, has a sense of humor, kind of jumpy. Being a lawyer, must be intelligent (and hasn't proven otherwise), and isn't overly bureaucratic about minor lawbreaking, since S.T. described his professional activities before knowing Phoenix's profession. "Mr. Tour Guide" before he knew his name, and he'll keep that mental image for a while. Implied that he and Edgeworth have an enemy among the patients. Gave him a set of maps, and S.T. feels indebted to him for that especially. If he actually managed to brew drinkable beer, Phoenix is on the distribution list. (If he finds other intoxicants, he won't share, as Phoenix is likely too much of a square to want any.)
This was added to when S.T. found out that Phoenix had been subjected to M-U on the same night. S.T. did a basic analysis on the syringes used in both M-Us, but didn't find anything very useful. He feels bad about not being able to do anything to help, both on his own account and Phoenix's. (There is a reason he didn't go into anything remotely medical-related despite the biochem degree -- he does not like dealing with the sick. He's finding more and more that he can't avoid it, here.)
scalyfishman: Nice guy. Or alien robot. Whatever. Reminded him of hanging out with Bart a little. They also bonded over having had bad experiences fighting underwater. On the beer list initially just for being fun to chat with. And then again for being a friendly face the morning after M-U.
chocomancer: Ally, and fellow enthusiast for creative problem-solving. They ended up in a little bit of a pissing contest the first night out, but that's not a bad thing in S.T.'s book. The second kitchen trip was a success, and Wonka makes a good ally, and his cheerfulness can be a pleasant change.
usoppsenchou: The most experienced person he's met at Landel's, and another person who actually knows some chemistry. He's a little weirded out by the whole actually-a-pirate thing -- it's less out-and-out crazy than Giant Robot and thus more plausible but still not okay. Also, the fact that Usopp has been there for weeks and hasn't been very successful either means he talks a better game than he has, or this place is worse than he thought.
Is interested in trading for booze. S.T. would have given him one just to be nice, but since Usopp brought up barter, S.T.'ll at least try to charge him for it.
People he's talked to:
Miles Edgeworth (
high_prosecutor): Phoenix's friend, a prosecuting attorney. Grouchy, protective of Phoenix. From the future but he sure doesn't dress like it. Has been M-U'ed (all S.T. knows is that it's some kind of danger-warning. He didn't pry.)
Demyx (
sitard3d): Aww, look at the wannabe rock star. He expects the music to suck a LOT but is entertained by the thought of a concert at the asylum.
Harry Osborn (
littlegoblinjr): Asshole. No reason to think he's evil or anything. Just an asshole. They were both in bad moods, and S.T. knows he was, so it's not irreparable, but his general good will ain't there yet.
Kio (
stalksperverts): Barely knows him, but his first impression involved being kind of amused at him running from rats and bowling over Willy Wonka. Generally positive impression from the few things he's seen on the bulletin.
Frey: Quiet kid, something's really different about the world he comes from, but not sure what.
Shito: from Japan, doesn't like the American food at Landel's.
Javert: Policeman from the past. Has been M-U'ed and can see people's history.
Albert Wesker: scientist, knows his stuff. Has been experimented on not at Landel's.
Scarecrow: Nice guy. First time he actually met someone he'd seen in fiction.
Peter Parker: S.T. didn't believe he was Spidey at first, and put his foot in it. Then he tried to apologize while fanboying. It didn't go terribly well. (From an IC standpoint. The thread itself was a blast.)
Harley: Cute, blonde, ditzy. Follows Spider around like a duckling. Has not recognized her name/canon source.
Yukari & Sheena: oh, look, magical lesbian ninjas. Who don't like Spider, but S.T. can understand why.
Meche: Down-to-earth, friendly woman. Smart, sensible, has a sense of humor.
Klavier: The boy can play. And has good taste in music -- he knew Guns 'n' Roses. Doesn't know anything else about him.
Utena & Juri: Two nice girls who don't know much about cars.
Callisto: Likes setting zombies on fire.
People he had talked to who have left Landel's
Mello (
cnflctofintrst): Slick, smart, thinks he's even smarter than he is, ambitious. Reminded him a little of Laughlin, but not quite so evil. Definitely has his own agenda. Doesn't trust him to act in anything other than his own interest, although he doesn't seem to be lying in the information he's given about how Landel's works. "Shorty".
People he's only briefly met, seen or heard about:
Kon-El: Saw him fighting killer squirrels. Mental nickname: Boy Wonder, entirely temporary because of the fight.
Teisel: "Big Guy" during the squirrel fight. Moves fast for a big guy.
Reid: was blocking the doorway and rubbernecking at the squirrel fight. "Mr. Sportsman" because of the fight-watching.
Mikami: Japanese? guy with long hair. Possibly Edgeworth's roommate, doesn't know his name, was on the way/was at the M3 meeting. Vague impression that he's actually from the same world as Phoenix and Edgeworth.
Lelouch: Mello redux? Didn't get a good impression of him on the bulletin, although he realizes someone needs to do the organizing thing. Shrieks like a girl when zombies are near.
Franziska: only spoken to her briefly via bulletin. Bitchy, knows Phoenix.
This is to track what S.T. knows, what he thinks of people, and what stupid nicknames he gives them in his head, because he does that.
